One Kalamazoo, the campaign committee pushing for the passage of the anti-discrimination ordinance in the city of Kalamazoo, is declaring victory.

With 15 of 19 precincts reporting, the yes votes have a 6,333 to 4,007 lead, according to unofficial tallies.

1. Kalamazoo is a wonderful town; crazy name, but great colleges, museums.
Also one of the greatest songs of the swing era, I Got a Gal in Kalamazoo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFv_PoZ2iP0

Never tire of it. Daughter went to Kalamazoo College, and I drove her nuts playing this.

2. Yup- I lived there- believe it or not, it's a pretty hip little town
The winter chased me down to Miami one January. Now I'm in San Francisco. But I'm glad for the time I had in Kalamazoo.
