1. Right in time for September 11th!
I remember that massacre in Chechnya (spelling?) was right before the 2004 election at the beginnning of September. Probably just coincidence...:eyes:

Edited on Wed Sep-09-09 02:25 PM by Freddie Stubbs
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - An AeroMexico passenger plane was hijacked at the airport in the Mexican resort of Cancun on Wednesday and flown to Mexico City's international airport.

Transport Minister Juan Molinar told Mexican radio the aircraft had landed safely.

El Universal and Reforma websites said three men earlier seized control of the plane and threatened to blow it up unless they were allowed to speak to President Felipe Calderon.

3. Is it drug related?
There is a drug war going on. It's really extreme.

12. But Mexico has taken a small step towards ending the war.
They've legalized possession of small amounts of pretty much all drugs. Next they need to legalize and regulate the manufacture and sales of drugs. Then let the drug gangs fight the war without hundreds of billions in drug money financing the Resistance. That's just what they make from America. They'll finally be hitting them where it really hurts. In the wallet.

Great to have a bilingual anchor!

He's translating Spanish from passengers and Mexican reporters.

13. Bingo! Being bilingual pays off. Meanwhile, back at the ranch,
language programs in our schools fold left and right. No $$$$$$. I won't even discuss all of the potentially bilingual folks who get screwed at school. That's a whole 'nother story.
