ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says President Obama's plan to overhaul health care is evil.

The former Republican vice presidential candidate posted her thoughts Friday on Facebook.

Palin says in the America she knows, people won't have to "stand in front of Obama's 'death panel' so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their 'level of productivity in society,' whether they are worthy of health care."

She says such a system is "downright evil."

all industrialized Western countries except the USA have single-payer government run healthcare .

As a result of that, all babies are aborted and all over 75 are euthanazied in those countries and people love it... How the population grows in those countries is a mystery for science. Some suspect covert stem-cell cloning in secret military facilities....

Doctors DECIDE about what care has to be given, based on scientific experience but patients can choose their doctors or clinics or public hospital.
Government PAYS the bills, and its civil servants fill in reimbursement forms. This is tax financed and costs half of what it costs in the US.
Private insurances cover the COMPLEMENTARY bill for all that isn't directly necessary and make a shitload of money, for a relative small fee from the insured who has a free choice.
Goverment MIGHT DECIDE according to the highest medical authorities advice in what areas it must invest money to improve healthcare through prevention and better equipment.

This system is of course evil.

First of all to socialize health care involves two different
things...insurance is only part of the solution....the other part is
to pay doctors a flat annual fee per patient per year, a salary. This
payment system, an annual salary does not reward volume, and rewards
prevention and good health.

Canada does not have a true public system, merely publicly funded,
and this systemic flaw creates many problems. A doctor shortage, by
the doctors union who seek to create a control of supply. An excess
of demand as the system rewards volume, repeat visits, referrals,
treating symptoms and not core problems....

While some might bring up the issue of euthanasia, a somewhat red
herring, or half-truth, true yet not the whole truth.

In defense of socializing health care, we must also appreciate the
reality that many lives are lost every year by people not able to
afford health care, and others whose insurance policies don't cover
their problem.

Saying there are 30 million without insurance, does not see the
reality of the dimensional nature of some insurance plans, nor 'their
profit' in the matter...which in some cases sees them withholding
needed services.

Again the best socialized health care system, I prefer Italy, pays a
doctor a flat annual fee per patient....the current system is only
half public. Doctors are self employed "hardware stores" who profit
from selling their wares, not in keeping people healthy or providing
simple and effective cures.

The devil is in the details.

With a cost of over $ 7,000 per person in the USA, compared to $ 1,500
to that in Italy there is allot of cost savings, that the USA could
save and spend on GM, Ford and Microsoft Products...
