Col. Sam Gardiner notes, in an interview with Amy Goodman on Democracy Now, Russia has deployed tactical nuclear weapons to South Ossetia. The SS-21 Missile launchers are relatively weak compared to bombs that have already been used against Georgia by the Russian air force. 1. this interview is one year old and done during the previous conflict

besides I don't know what Gardiner is talking about. If he meant that a 100 kt nuclear warhead is "weak" I don't know what the Russians have been using before, but it must have been "huge". Curiously it went unnoticed.
