1. Are the "jobless recoveries" that have become a matter of course
proof that Americans aren't as productive or hardworking or indispensable to the world economy as we thought?

4. I'm waiting for the Option ARM shoe to drop soon
Boomberg.com | June 11, 2009

Option ARMs Threaten Housing Rebound as Resets Peak

About 1 million option ARMs are estimated to reset higher in the next four years, according to real estate data firm First American CoreLogic of Santa Ana, California. About three quarters of those loans will adjust next year and in 2011, with the peak coming in August 2011 when about 54,000 loans recast, the data show.

Option ARM borrowers hit with unaffordable monthly payments are another threat to the housing recovery and the economy, said Susan Wachter, a professor of real estate finance at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in Philadelphia. Owners who surrender properties to the bank rather than make higher payments for homes that have plummeted in value will further depress real estate prices and add to the inventory of properties on the market, she said.

“The option ARM recasts will drive up the foreclosure supply, undermining the recovery in the housing market,” Wachter said in an interview. “The option ARMs will be part of the reason that the path to recovery will be long and slow.”

<snip>

More than $750 billion of option ARMs were originated in the U.S. between 2004 and 2008, according to data from First American and Inside Mortgage Finance of Bethesda, Maryland. California accounted for 58 percent of option ARMs, according to a report by T2 Partners LLC, citing data from Amherst Securities and Loan Performance.

This has the potential to put us right back where we were last year. Or maybe worse.

14. No, they are not kidding, and you know they aren't. They are LYING.
You have been shining the light on the Propaganda for months (please continue to do so), and you know exactly what they are doing.

They really do think the Public is THAT Stupid, or so cowed, soft, and invested in the Football Team
that they can run whatever Psi-Op they want, and do whatever they want.

They know the system is Bankrupt, failed, and non-functioning. The only thing left to do is Loot, Rob, and Steal everything that isn't nailed down.

The only option they have is to continue to give the ILLUSION that everything still works, and that the people will do little to nothing, and just accept their fate.

What should be worrying everyone is what they are going to do when and if people figure out that they are so full of shit they could fertilize the planet five times over, and they can't and won't GOVERN.

The hour is getting late.

11. You know, it's really troubling the way they are ramping up the Propaganda like this.
Edited on Wed Aug-05-09 08:11 PM by TheWatcher
This is the second headline today that I have seen screaming this.

This is getting embarrassing.

And scary.

Because they are going all out to desperately convince and brainwash the Public that things have "stabilized" and the "Recovery" has begun, even when it is blatantly obvious for the average person that it has not.

What are they going to do, and what are they going to tell everyone when they can no longer lie about it? When it becomes so obvious that people won't be bale to distinguish news from PRAVDA from 1972?

The Fake Stock Market Bubble is NOT Sustainable, and there is no such thing as a Jobless Recovery.

That's like saying you can drive your car without any gas in it.

I mean seriously, what are they going to do?

Since they obviously can't GOVERN.

17. Well now, give Gibbs a break.
I suppose if you're living in the White House or have a high profile, good paying job in the White House things DO look pretty damn good.

If, however, you're sitting on the unemployment roles and looking for a job that just does NOT exist, your perspective might be just a tad bit different.

Maybe Gibbs should try living in the second option for a month or two, then give his opinion.
