Brother defends hate site operator Steve Reimink who has ties to alleged Holocaust Museum shooter

WEST OLIVE -- The brother of a West Olive man with online ties to James von Brunn -- charged with killing a U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum guard this week -- claims his brother is being unfairly maligned.

"He's just a normal, average guy," Kendall Reimink said Thursday of his brother, Steve Reimink, 45.

Kendall Reimink disputed suggestions that his brother holds white supremacist views and labeled him a "victim of circumstance."

The now-dismantled Web site, holywesternempire.org, in recent weeks was registered to Steve Reimink. It contained the writings of von Brunn, whose book "Kill the Best Gentiles" makes claims about a Jewish conspiracy to destroy the white gene pool.
