Complaint seeks disbarment of Bush lawyers
Source: AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two outside groups want Bush administration lawyers linked to memos on harsh interrogation techniques of detainees to lose their licenses to practice law.

Complaints were to be filed Monday against former attorneys general John Ashcroft and Alberto Gonzales, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and John Yoo, Jay Bybee and Stephen Bradbury. The complaints were being filed in the District of Columbia and four states — New York, California, Texas and Pennsylvania.

Memos by the Bush Justice Department contended that waterboarding — a form of simulated drowning — as well as sleep deprivation and other extreme techniques were legal under U.S. and international law.

The groups VotersForPeace.US and Velvet Revolution say the lawyers misused their licenses.

1. Only 6 were mentioned in the article, but 12 are on the

4. Yes. Just like a doctor prescribing sex with him for a cold. It's abuse.
And the licenses should be lifted.

Thank YOU!

5. It would be ironic if Bybee were disbarred.
Disbarment would not mean that he could no longer be a federal judge. He could only be removed from the federal bench by impeachment and conviction, which is unlikely to happen while the pukes control 40 senate votes. So we would have a sitting federal judge who has been disbarred.

10. IF "FREE CHOICE" HAS ALLOWED INHUMANITIES
Then no matter what political party you are, you must choose
no more inhumanity. Watch NEWS programs from other countries.
Start out with America's own DEMOCRACY NOW with Amy Goodman
and Juan Gonzalez. They don't show the entire horrible story
of what GREED has brought to the World, especially America.
They would not be able to stay on the air. But open your eyes.
The Main Stream Media is totally corporate owned and
controlled. Fascism is alive and well in America. I voted for
Obama, hoping for Change. It is too early for the entire
story, but so far, He too, refuses to put people before
profits. Citizens of America, other major nations are having
LARGE protests. 30,000 strong, saying no to the Bank Bailouts
and demanding People before Profits. Our corporate media will
not show you this. Their owners are afraid of PEOPLE POWER.
Except for a few industries like: military industrial complex,
oil, Health Care (#1 most expensive in the world, #39 in
quality, below many 3rd world countries,Finance, we have
become a 3rd world police state. We have more prisoners, per
capita, except China. We have to organize and peacefully take
to the streets. We can win our freedom, first, you have to
realize that you need it.

17. Although I don't think this will be successful....
I applaude their efforts. Keep them tied up in court forever. Maybe they can die from a thousand cuts.

It is so sad that you have to take this route to get justice.
