Former President Bush visits Treasure Island
Source: Tampa Bay

TREASURE ISLAND - Former President George W. Bush visited a small group of friends and supporters in the Tampa Bay area Thursday, according to his Texas office.

His hosts for dinner were developer and Republican fundraiser Mel Sembler and his wife Betty. They hosted the former president and about two dozen of his supporters at their Treasure Island home.

The dinner was to raise money for the George W. Bush Presidential Center at Southern Methodist University, which will house the presidential library and institute.

The former president's office said his schedule is no longer public, thus they would not disclose any specifics about his visit to the area. But callers to the St. Petersburg Times have reported seeing heightened security around Treasure Island, and even helicopters hovering over the area.

Don't you love how its name is now a presidential 'center' housing a library? Even these criminals don't have the balls to call it a library.

Treasure Island huh? A bunch of pirates hosting another pirate that escaped the noose.

Are WE paying for this rediculous level of security for a disgraced failure of a Resident?

6. The Bushes loves them some Florida fishing. Always have. Too bad it has to cost us the
kind of money it takes to give him the highest level of security.

the good news. I think he gets it for only ten years now, not for life. (Please mark your long term calendars accordingly.)

8. An ex-president who will ALWAYS hide in shame.
This can be his prison I suppose. He will meet demonstrators and hide from cameras as long as we have to keep him above ground on this earth. Shame is his shadow, and in his heart he knows he is a real f*ck up.

If only darth realized what a total spawn of the devil he is. I hope his days are short on this side of hell.

9. That makes sense
Since he spent the last eight years turning the White House into a "treasure island"--old habits are hard to break.

15. He carried a sword and dressed in pirate gear.
He was hoping to meet Long John Silver and ask if his secret treasure is what funded his seafood restaurants.

Seriously, does anyone care what happens to Bush anymore?
