US troops kill five Iraqis in botched raid

US FORCES hunting Saddam Hussein appeared to have killed at least five civilians last night during a botched raid on the home of one of Iraq’s most powerful tribal leaders.

Soldiers surrounded the Baghdad home of the English- educated Prince Rabia Mohammad al-Habib after being wrongly tipped off that the fugitive dictator was inside.

They then opened fire on at least two cars which drove up to a road block near the house. A US soldier at a nearby hospital said five bodies and at least eight wounded people were brought from the scene, confirming witness accounts. Locals claimed the road blocks were not properly marked.

Military sources said the raid was carried out by Task Force 20, the special unit set up to hunt down the Iraqi leadership. But their efforts to repeat the success in tracking Saddam’s two sons, Uday and Qusay, last week in Mosul appear to have badly backfired, on another weekend of violence which left five more US soldiers dead.

6. did any of you hear the npr story this morning where they

have the soldiers threating a japanese film crew. they are telling the japanese not to film what they are doing, then when the crew keeps filming the report says that a american sergent pulls out his 9mm and puts it in the back of the camera man. they then proceed to to force him and his crew to the ground and take his camera, these are japanese nationals.

this shit is going to get out of hand, and the dumb ass fucks who are giving bush above 50% approval are going to be sitting around wondering what did we do to anybody.
