Republicans Object to Stimulus Dollars for ACORN
Source: *******FOX NEWS********

Republican lawmakers are raising concerns that ACORN, the low-income advocacy group under investigation for voter registration fraud, could be eligible for billions in aid from the economic stimulus proposal working its way through the House.

House Republican Leader John Boehner issued a statement over the weekend noting that the stimulus bill wending its way through Congress provides $4.19 billion for "neighborhood stabilization activities."

He said the money was previously limited to state and local governments, but that Democrats now want part of it to be available to non-profit entities. That means groups like ACORN would be eligible for a portion of the funds.

Sen. David Vitter, R-La., told FOX News Tuesday that the money could be seen as "payoff" for groups' political activities in the last election. ACORN generally supports Democratic candidates and actively backed President Obama last year.

ACORN!!!!

Acorn also works to prevent predatory lending (drain on resources especially in the poor neighborhood's preyed upon)
lower heating fuel costs
and assist in home purchases (training for first time home buyers)

This article is so convoluted it is sad...but unfortunately they will probably drub this into conventional wisdom like they did the fake CBO report, the oath fiasco by Roberts, and Pelosi's contraception statement

1. Golly, it's almost like elections have consequences
And when you LOSE THE ELECTION, you sort of have to eat a bunch of shit and like it. Remember all that money being lavished on ineffective "abstinence only" sex ed programs, my GOP friends? Bet you wish you'd spent it a little more wisely now, huh?

The phrase you're looking for Mr. Boehner? Suck it.

2. I think the number I saw 8 years ago was 386%-the return on investment to Bush contributors
in the first 6 MONTHS of his Presidency

Of course that is par for the course, for everyone, so there is no reason for the Repubs to pitch a fit now...other than that is all they have left
