Pair Of Idaho Lawmakers Ready to Stand In The Way To Save 10 Commandments Monument

By Paul Fredericks

Boise -
A pair of Idaho lawmakers say they'll put themselves right in the middle of things if Boise tries to remove the Ten Commandments monument from Julia Davis Park.

And, they say according to Idaho's constitution, they cannot be arrested if they get in the way.

But, just what does the constitution really say?

During the latest rally to save the monument on Sunday, the more than one hundred people there erupted into applause after this statement: "Is that the Idaho state constitution makes it illegal to arrest a legislature while the legislature is in session. We love Idaho law."
(snip/...)

2. Funny that fundies are so hung up on the Hebrew Old Testament.
The truly Christian commandments can be found in the Beatitudes.

4. The Hebrew commandments...
are much easier to live up to.

It is much easier to not kill, not steal, or not screw your brother's wife than to turn the other cheek or love your neighbor as yourself.

One of Nietszche's more memorable writings was about some loud, raging moralist of the time who bragged about how he had not committed vast numbers of sins and crimes that he had no interest in committing anyway.

Nietszche was not impressed.

Doubtless that Jesus wouldn't be all that impressed either.

7. Fundies never "got" agape love.
They're into conditional style affection.

8. It is a graven image
It says right on the graven image, don't worship a graven image. They should try reading it sometime.
