Source: Sacramento Bee

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger today released his positions on the 12 ballot measures voters face Tuesday, and there are no surprises.

He opposes the gay marriage ban in Proposition 8, favors the abortion notification measure in Proposition 4 and is neutral on two crime measures, Propositions 6 and 9.

2. What's Prop 2?

For the non-California residents.

We have shitloads of amendments here (last count was about 12) to vote on. Already voted no on 46. 47, 48, 49, 52, 54. Yesses on 50, 51, 58, 59, L-O. 53, 55 thru 57 was withdrawn here in Colorado.

50 - raises stakes from $5 to $100 in the mountain casinos - could bring in more revenue. Make it the Las Vegas of the Mountains (sort of). I gamble there maybe once or twice a year, and would like to see roulette, craps, Pai-Gow poker up there.

47, 49 and 54 are anti-labor amendments. I voted no. Fuck them. 46 is the abortion question.

Also, I think one of the amendments is to help reduce the number of amenmdments we vote on each year. There was WAY too many this year to vote on - two paper ballots to mail at $1.17, but I early voted, and wife voted absentee but I dropped her ballot off.

The yesses on 58-59 helps education.

4. You what I hate about the propositions? They muddy the waters and
force you to do extensive research to find out what the proposition is really about.

10. which is why
I consistantly vote NO on just about all of them. We got into this budget mess because people just didn't read the fine print on so many of these well meaning propositions - that fine print pointed out how much it was going to cost the state if the proposition passed.

6. Bleh for his hatred of animals.
But at least he's against Prop 8. That's...something, I guess.

I doubt it'll sway any fundies or bigots, but hope springs eternal.
