Gallup Daily: Obama Maintains Edge Over McCain - Advantage among likely voters three to seven points

PRINCETON, NJ -- Barack Obama begins the final week of the campaign with an advantage over John McCain in both Gallup likely voter models, up by 49% to 46% using the traditional model and leading 51% to 44% using an expanded likely voter model.

2. Six days out, I'm somewhat and cautiously pleased.
Of course we'd all love to see double-digit national leads and a sense of overawing inevitability, but this is good too. And, we should all remember that this is really fifty national electoral campaigns, not a single one. And we are looking even better when viewed through that lens.

7. I'm concerned about voter suppression affecting the result, particularly with close poll numbers.
The American public are unbelievably idiotic.

If McCain "wins," say goodbye to your employer-based health coverage (the few of you who have it) and your Medicare.
