Undaunted by jokes or omens, McCain stumps in Waterloo
Source: AP

WATERLOO, Iowa _ Call it a quirk of scheduling or a Freudian slip, but John McCain met his Waterloo Sunday morning.

McCain awoke in the small Iowa town looking for votes in the battleground state, but facing the troubling prospect that he could be facing political defeat much as Napoleon faced military defeat in the famous battle of the same name.

4. 5 of us siblings, raised in Waterloo, IA, watched him on MTP this AM.
We were glad to see him doing so well for Obama (though poorly for McCain) in our hometown.

And, we all used to be Republicans, but through various paths we've all become Democrats over the last 25 years.

2. Didn't McCain already go to Waterloo with Napoleon?
From what I understand. Back then they used to say that Napoleon had a McCain Complex.
