Source: The Wall Street Journal

Former President Bill Clinton will join Barack Obama on the campaign trail on Wednesday, marking the first time the two have campaigned jointly since the prolonged Democratic primary.

Hillary Clinton campaigned with Obama in Florida last week. The aide says she won’t be joining her husband on the campaign trail on Wednesday. ...

4. I feel a lot of moderated right voters are leaning to Obama but don´t like Bill.
I hope I am wrong.

9. That's funny, because I think a lot of moderates leaning toward Obama love Bill.
I'm certain he will be an asset to Obama.

7. Me too. Despite all the issues with Bill Clinton, he is still the best
politician in my lifetime and I think history will view him thusly, especially compared and contrasted with the administration that immediately followed.

16. Worries me too!
He's been rather erratic in his speech and temperament this past year, and somewhat of a loose cannon. Don't Blow It Bill!

2. Just saw Bill here in Pine Bluff, Ark. He gave a fantastic speech. I must admit even though

I am from here, I have never seen him speak in person. Either working or not enough cash. Today he spoke with Gov Mike Beebe, Senator Dale Bumpers (ret), Senator David Pryor (ret), Congressman Mike Beebe, Senator Mark Pryor and former Gov Jim Guy Tucker. It was a fantastic afternoon. It was good to see our elder Liberal Senators up there.

Bill had to get his mention in about wanting Hillary, but he came through about supporting Obama and he made some excellent points. Bill will always be popular in SE Ark and the people really came out to see him. Even got to shake hands with him, another first.

Bill made a big point about Obama calling everybody when the financial crisis first hit. Bill said Obama was slammed about not coming out immediately and speaking about it. Bill said Obama wanted to understand it first and then speak about it. Bill said that Obama is the type of President who does understand it all once he has all the facts. Really talked up Obama's brillance.

He also reminded everyone that as President, Obama may not be making the 100% popular choice, but in the end it pays off, like Bill's decision to loan money to Mexico. Mexico paid it all back with interest, but that doesn't get reported.

All in all, a good old fashioned Democrat Liberal Campaign Rally. (Ark used to have a lot of juice in Congress, before Bill, lost it when David Pryor retired.)

6. Good. I expect Obama's administration to be much like Bill's.
Except Obama will have Congress behind him. I hope Obama keep's Bill's phone number close at hand.

Obama might be able to get the things done that the Republican Revolution stopped Bill from doing.

10. They are both still young and so they will be appearing alot together
Might as well be friends rather than enemies. Hillary is plenty young enough to run in 2016, if she wants to.

Plus, you have to respect Obama for beating the Clinton machine. Bill lives and breathes politics, so after the hurt, there should be respect for that.

13. helpful
I think it will be helpful. I'm sure a lot of people look back positively to the economy while Bill Clinton was in office and it will remind them how the economy did when democrats were in office versus republicans.

14. Bill represents an era of prosperity & international goodwill toward the US.
Whatever his personal feelings, he is valuable political asset. Give 'em hell, Bill!
