'Joe the Plumber' Mulling Run for Congress
Source: The Hill

Joe Wurzelbacher, a.k.a. "Joe the Plumber," said Friday he may consider running for Congress in 2010, challenging longtime Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D) in the Toledo-area district.

"I'll tell you what, we'd definitely be in one heck of a fight," Wurzelbacher said during an appearance on the Laura Ingraham show Friday, "but, you know, I'd be up for it."

"There is a movement afoot to draft you to run for Congress," Ingraham said. "Joe, let me tell you something: you decide to run for Congress, and I'll help you with your PR, I'll help you do your ads, I mean, I'll volunteer to help you."

Ingraham's producer, Brad Feldman, said that during the break after the segment, Wurzelbacher told Ingraham that his statements today represent the first time he has acknowledged considering a bid for Congress in public.

so his Arizona license was suspended. He moved to Ohio, and somehow got a license there (DMV has said this was due to an oversight on their part, and will suspend him if Arizona sends the information through the official channels).

57. Marcy has been our Rep since 1983
She was born and educated in Toledo and always gets at least 60+% of the vote if not more. It would be a joke if Joe ran against her.

Ed Emery ran against her in 2002 and lost. He was recently arrested for stealing metal from buildings.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_S._Emery

We went to her office in Washington, DC in the 1990's with our daughter. She talked to us for about 20 minutes and was very gracious. She is very trustworthy and honest and this is why she gets elected again and again. She has a big following even among local Republicans.

The 9th District has not had a whole lot of turnover since the 1950's. Lud Ashley was the Democratic Congressman from 1951 until 1981. There was one Republican for one two year term (1981-83) until Marcy was elected, and she has been in ever since.

I can't imagine Joe will have much of a chance to score this congressional seat.

http://tinyurl.com/5kdqzr - this shows the voting record for the 9th District all the way back to 1920 (all the way to the bottom). The Republicans in the district are few and far between.

Hey Joe (which isn't even your first name), you can't pay your taxes, your fines, or keep a driver's license. You lie about your profession, the business you said you're buying (but really aren't), and the value of that business.

You've done nothing but BS this country for the past two weeks. But, you've had the good fortune of BS'ing when McCain and Palin are so desperate that they'll cling on to ANYTHING to give their campaign something to rally around.

And he thinks he can defeat a congresswoman who typically gets 70-80% of the vote every election? The only close race she had was years ago when she ran against Frank Venner, a local TV news anchor and celebrity.

41. Reminds me of Donato "The Fisherman" in the Elian debacle
(snip)

He added, life can be hard. But what happened to the child and the lives that
have changed being with him... This makes people feel important, loved and
powerful.

Another part of the article draws attention to how the cleaner points out that he
had dined a few nights previously with Bob Smith, the senator. I am on the front
page of almost all the newspapers and magazines of the world and I am moving
in the same elite circles as all these people.

He went on to say, when I am in Miami, people pleading with me fisherman...
fisherman, don't go to Washington, we need leaders here. I hear people calling
for Donato for mayor... Donato for mayor. I am moved. 800,000 Cubans love
me.

Perhaps I even see myself in the campaign for mayor or for a lower position,
you know what I mean, what is it?... I think it is commissioner, or something like
that.

And decides against it because his net might drop by $800/year if Obama is elected. Opts instead to make whatever the hell he makes as an unlicensed plumber.

Divorced, angry, stupid, tax cheat, and liar.

Yes, sounds like a prime candidate for a Republican congressman.
