Spending rose in Palin's Alaska administrations
Source: USA Today

WASHINGTON - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin calls herself a fiscal conservative who wants to
"rein in government spending." She says she "reformed the abuses of earmarks in
our state." Republican John McCain said during the last debate that his running mate
has "cut the size of government."

But Palin didn't cut the size of government as mayor of Wasilla, and she hasn't done
so as Alaska's governor, city and state budget records show. Spending in fast-growing
Wasilla increased by 55% during her tenure from 1996-2002, records show. In nearly
two years as governor, she has presided over a 31% spending hike by a state govern-
ment that sought earmarks from Washington even as it reaped billions from higher oil
prices and Palin-backed tax increases on oil companies.

Obviously Governor Palin is a fiscal conservative of the George W. Bush school.

1. Obama, please run a few ads!
It's not the spending, it's the lying about spending.

7. I think it's time for the gloves to come off on Palin. The Obama ads have only attacked McCain.
It's time to expose this hussy as the incompetent buffoon that she actually is. Good lord, you can do a documentary on all of the dumb, lying, contradictory things she's said since she was announced as the VP candidate.

4. Of course spending rose -
she had to use the money to pay off her cronies and accomplices, plus pay for her kids to fly everywhere on Alaska's tab.

5. USA Today, why bother now?
You M$M had this info within a week after this low-life was named as a candidate and uttered her "Thanks but no thanks" lie at the convention and continues to do so today. It took nearly 3 weeks for anyone to really seriously question and report the truth... But even then, such was drowned out by the lunatic fringe's "The Narrative" and other nonsensical RW talking points eagerly spouted by self-same media. Why bother reporting it now?

6. Why don't the MSM do an expose on Palin avoiding questions.
For reference material check out Brian Williams' interview with her.

8. Reformer/Maverick - ROFLMAOCOPTERDOWNSENDAID
She signed the largest budget in Alaskan state history.

She raised taxes on oil revenues, with the support of Dems. Against vehement opposition by Rethugs in the AK state Leg.

Reformer my ass. She's been a big spender whereever she's been in charge. Her spending tends to favor business interests rather than to invest in the people. A trait of the new fascist- The Neocon.

Although, in her own words, wouldn't that make her a "Socialist" instead?

Politics- You just cannot script this shit LOL.

Peace and Love fellow DU'ers.

VOTE! Early if possible but just VOTE DARNIT!!

Gobama 08!!!

9. I would like to see a break-down of fiscal policies of Dem and Rep governors.
Statistically, I'm thinking there are a lot of Repubs like her that love to spend, spend, spend without a care about how to pay for it.
