Secret Service says (Palin Scranton rally) "Kill him" allegation unfounded
Source: Times Leader

SCRANTON – The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded.

The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on its Web site Tuesday and then again in its print edition Wednesday. The first story, written by reporter David Singleton, appeared with allegations that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Obama’s name a man in the audience shouted “kill him."

...

Agent Bill Slavoski said he was in the audience, along with an undisclosed number of additional secret service agents and other law enforcement officers and not one heard the comment.

“I was baffled,” he said after reading the report in Wednesday’s Times-Tribune.

He said the agency conducted an investigation Wednesday, after seeing the story, and could not find one person to corroborate the allegation other than Singleton.

...

When contacted Wednesday afternoon, Singleton referred questions to Times-Tribune Metro Editor Jeff Sonderman. Sonderman said, “We stand by the story. The facts reported are true and that’s really all there is.”

1. The SS agent wasn't really being truthful
It wasn't unfounded, rather they failed to find collabrative evidence, which a few day later half assed investigation is expected to yield.

2. We couldn't find anyone who agreed with the sentiment that would admit
to hearing the words.

No one admitted to saying it.

The wagon circle saw nothing and heard nothing.

So...it didn't happen.

18. Hopefully
He should get some if he doesn't

No one should assume that just because they are Secret Service that they couldn't also be racists

Lawsuit: 'Pattern of Discrimination' at Secret Service

"A 2003 e-mail sent to several senior agents jokes about the Rev. Jesse Jackson and his wife being killed, saying their deaths "certainly wouldn't be a great loss."

Another white senior supervisor, apparently bitter towards the Rev. Al Sharpton and angry at Ruben Studdard for winning "American Idol" in 2003 over Clay Aiken, allegedly wrote, "Reverse discrimination and political correctness are destroying virtually every aspect of American life."

"It's not just e-mails — a noose was recently discovered at a Secret Service training facility outside of Washington, D.C. The service thus far has declined to release pictures of the noose."

"One of the agents who was recently on the detail of Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., is under investigation for allegedly forwarding a January 2005 e-mail that included a crude sexual joke about blacks and American Indians.

That agent has since been promoted. It is unclear what disciplinary action, if any, he will face. "

7. Expanding the Conspiracy is always a good way to deal with contradictory evidence
The other way is to contract the Conspiracy.

Another expansion.

It's pretty amazing how many people are of the same mind, covering for one individual.

23. No, the Secret Service has been thoroughly politicized
as we know because they have gone after Bush opponents for their bumperstickers.

It's pretty amazing how you can overlook something so obvious.

I'm not sure if I have the clip from Scranton or not, but I've heard "kill him" in at least three clips (among countless other disgusting things).

22. Just Got RNC Call Advising Me Obama Works With Terrorists
We just got a robo call paid for by the McCain-Palin campaign and the RNC just wanting to advise us that "Barack Obama works directly with terrorists" who "bomb American buildings" and "kill Americans". "This message is paid for by the McCain-Palin" campaign and the "RNC". The words I have put in quotes are what I scribbled down while listening to the short call. The first thing that struck me was "works directly" in the present tense. The second phrase that struck me was "kill Americans". I have made every contact I can think of to request a transcript of this particular message. Apparently the RNC is unwilling to put it in writing. But the republicans I have reached state they do not see anything wrong with the message since it is all true. They will not even entertain the concept that this is over the top. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE "PEOPLE"? Have they not decency? We have even expressed our concerns to the FBI and the Secret Service.

27. You Are Right. -- SHAME ON McCAIN AND PALIN
Thank you. We did call our newspapers, all our TV stations, all our surrounding Democratic headquarters, Obama campaign, republican headquarters, Dole's campaign, Burr's campaign. Hoping someone else will know it is coming and can be ready to record it. We were just surprised it did not come from a 527 but directly from McCain-Palin and RNC. Lying scandalous robo calls like the ones saying McCain had a black baby are disgraceful. I believe these kind of calls fall into a completely different category. SHAME ON McCAIN AND PALIN.
