BOONEVILLE, Miss. -- Parker Hannifin Corp. is shutting down an automotive supply plant in northeastern Mississippi, idling 150 workers.

The Cleveland-based company told employees of the decision on Tuesday.

The Booneville, Miss., plant will close at the end of the year.

The 24-year-old operation manufactures air conditioning accumulators and receiver dryers for the automotive markets.

Parker Hannifin vice president and general manager Ron Weil says there are no plans for the future of the plant. He says employees will not be offered jobs at other company plants.

3. My business supplies parts
indirectly to Parker Hannifin, we build molds for their o-ring and packing seals.

Once they made the switch to China the QC has gone down the drain right along with their products and reputation.

5. more layoffs
while sitting on a u.s. airways' flight waiting for takeoff, heard attendants talking about 1300 layoffs to come. while in the airport waiting heard 2 u.s.airways' pilots talking about those pilots and crew having already been layed off. do not think we are hearing ALL the layoffs that are occurring.

7. If not...
