Todd Palin will answer written questions from Alaska Legislature

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (CNN) -- Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's husband has agreed to answer written questions in the state Legislature's investigation into the firing of her public safety commissioner, campaign officials said Monday.

Todd Palin has been resisting a subpoena by lawmakers since mid-September. But with the Legislature's report on the matter due Friday, Palin has agreed to answer written questions submitted through his lawyer, McCain-Palin campaign spokeswoman Meg Stapleton said.

The questions were submitted to Palin lawyer Thomas Van Flein on Monday and are expected to be returned by Wednesday, Stapleton said.

On Sunday, seven employees of Palin's administration agreed to give statements in the investigation, the attorney general and lawmakers involved said.

The seven, including Palin's chief of staff, had tried to fight subpoenas issued by the state Senate Judiciary Committee.

But an Anchorage judge upheld the subpoenas Thursday, and Alaska Attorney General Talis Colberg, whose department challenged the authority of the subpoenas, notified the committee Sunday that the seven would give statements after all.

9. He made one speech not to long ago
The reason why I think it was the only time he spoke since Palin has been named VP candidate is because CNN said so.

7. Will this be considered sworn testimony?
Shouldn't it be his own words and not through his lawyer? Just wondering.
