Alaska Supreme Court takes up 'Troopergate' case - AP
Source: Associated Press

these are some very worried people.....

"ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — The Alaska Supreme Court will decide whether to block the findings of an abuse-of-power investigation due to be released next week that could be potentially damaging to Gov. Sarah Palin's vice presidential candidacy.

The court accepted an emergency appeal late Friday filed by six Alaska lawmakers who claim the investigation is being manipulated to hurt Palin before Election Day on Nov. 4. The court scheduled oral arguments for Wednesday on whether to suppress the probe's findings." .......

"There's been no time in history that a court has suppressed the outcome of a legislative investigation," Maassen said......

"Michalski also threw out a lawsuit filed by Palin aides seeking to dismiss subpoenas compelling their testimony in the investigation. The aides had argued that the subpoenas should not be honored because they shouldn't have been issued."....

2. The Nation has an item on this.
Looks like the GOP law branch has made it to Alaska. After living in that state for 10 years I am sure the church is in the middle of this also. They have to be with Palin. That whole group of church people that sort of want us to go back to the Middle Ages if you get my meaning.

15. The previous governor was worse, and she ran her campaign on bringing him down.
That's the story I hear, anyway.

4. Does anyone actually believe that the majority of americans care?
Would they be upset about someone in high office doing something illegal or unethical if it isn't sexual in nature?

Let me see - torture, wire-tapping, lying to the public to start a war - the list goes on and on.

5. Very little MSM coverage over the wrongs of the Republicans
IF, it is mentioned in the news, it is only briefly then forgotten. I think more would care if there was explicit and ongoing coverage.

7. It's GOT to have video or they don't
bother. Unless there is sex somehow involved. Even what's-his-name signaling under the bathroom stall got some notice even though (thank goodness) there was no video...

13. The corporate media have put this on administrative ignore.
They know it's more difficult to brainwash the people in to buying the Mrs. Smith goes to Washington BS, if Mrs. Smith is under a cloud for abuse of power, this also dampens that sympathy angle, some are trying to cultivate.

The funny thing about the debate was listening to Palin talk of greed in Washington D.C and Wall Street without acknowledging that greed is universal, the same holds true for abuse of power, D.C. and Wall Street only magnify what is already there or brought to the table. If you abuse power in Alaska or anywhere else, you will most likely abuse it in D.C. as well.

I believe this is what the Republicans are so afraid of the American People remembering, particularly after the past eight years.

9. Kinda smells like another Supreme Court decision...
One that Palin should by now have heard about: Bush v Gore. One of the worst decision since Dred Scott, where the so called "re-count" in Florida was halted. Rehnquest must be smiling somewhere...

11. the republicans are trying to block the report.....
....to HELP her campaign---what's the difference?

The difference is: she's running for the vice-presidency, and we have a right to have her properly vetted before the election.

From the point of view of real justice, this issue is a no-brainer.
