1. Why would either one accept it if it meant having to work with this idiot?
And Buffett has been working alongside Obama.

5. There goes McCain again
trying to steal something of Obama's. First it was his "Change" motto and now it is Warren Buffett.

4. Gettin' a little ahead of yourself, John.
Plus there's PLENTY of time to pick a new cabinet the night of January 19, just like you did with your VP.

7. I don't think Buffett is interested
Look at how beautifully the public and the press has treated Paulson. You're a hero until you're a zero. Very little in between.

BTW, it does sound as though Obama is going to announce his treasury sec'y before Nov. 4 as well....but I would highly doubt that it would be Buffett (wouldn't that be cool, though, to actually have a Treasury Secretary who has the respect of the individual and the institutional investor?)

17. Warren Buffett Is An Advisor To Barack Obama
Buffett helped formulate Obama's position on the bailout bill. Why would McCain even float this idea? Besides, I can't see Buffett unloading his Berkshire assets to eliminate his conflict of interest in order to become Treasury Secretary. Besides, Buffett is 78 years old.
