(Former Oklahoma Gov Frank) Keating Blames Cheney For No Cabinet Job
Source: KTOK

A new book about Vice President Dick Cheney quotes former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating as blaming Cheney for leaking damaging information--keeping him from getting a Presidential appointment to the Bush cabinet.

"Dick Cheney coming into my life has been like a black cloud," said Keating in an interview with Barton Gellman, a Washington Post reporter who teamed up with jo Becker to write the book, 'Angler'. Excerpts of the book were released Sunday and Monday by the Post but it's not clear what 'damaging' information Cheney supposedly leaked about Keating.

Keating was thought to be considered by George Bush at one time to be his vice-presidential running mate but Bush went with Cheney. Then after winning the White House, Bush reportedly gave some thought to naming Keating to a possible cabinet position. Some speculated it would be Attorney General since Keating had previously held a high post in the Justice Department. But it never developed and now Gellman claims that Keating blames Cheney for sabotaging any possible appointment.

:sarcasm:

Keating and his administration in Oklahoma ruined my father's law practice in Oklahoma(My father worked closely with former Rep. Charles Key in getting a grand jury to investigate the OKC bombing's John Doe #2).

Keating gets what he deserves.

6. Count your blessings, Frank.
History is not going to be kind to the members of the Bush misadministration.
