Biden Labels McCain Attacks As "Republican Garbage"
Source: CBS News

(MEDIA, PA.) - Ladies and gentlemen, Joe Biden says he is "sick and tired of this Republican garbage."

Biden lashed out angrily at John McCain on several points this evening in Pennsylvania, including accusations that Obama and Democrats do not support the military.

Biden, in an attempt to show McCain as contradictory in his support of veterans, pointed to McCain's refusal to vote for a new military G.I. Bill, proposed by Sen. Jim Webb, D-Va., and passed in the spring.

"George Bush initially opposed it, John McCain stood with him and he called Jim Webb's effort, quote, too generous. Ladies and gentlemen, if John McCain had his way on that G.I. Bill, those military personnel who served two tours in Iraq or Afghanistan would not qualify for the same benefits that anyone in the ‘regular Army or Marine corps’ did.”

5. BIden has explained - during every speech, that McCain wants to tax
our health care. If you make $40K, and your employer pays $12K for your health insurance, your adjusted gross income would be $52K that you pay federal income tax on. I didn't understand the reference to the McCain tax on it, until BIden explained it. And he does it every time he speaks.

8. Yes they do. But the msm only carries republican campaign events and speeches.
It's like the democrats don't exist.

If I did not know better, I would day that the msm is complicit in widespread fraud.

7. Joe Biden has it right - pretentious hypocrisy is the Hallmark of Republicans..
...they SAY one thing, and DO the opposite.

Try to reconcile the two, and you get a bad case of whiplash. ACTIONS speak louder than pretentious words and declarations. Republicans TALK about "supporting the troops" - but they don't DO IT.

Same with "family values". Republicans do NOT support WOMEN and therefore they do NOT support "family values". They yak about it incessantly. But they don't DO it. Then they accuse OTHERS of not doing it.

PRETENTIOUS.

HYPOCRISY.

It's their hallmark. They ought to be called out on it on a DAILY, HOURLY and MINUTELY basis.

Joe is right. I'm sick of the Republican garbage too.

10. How do I snark thee? Let me count the ways?
1. "Ladies and gentlemen" - Making fun of Biden's form of address in the first line. Nice job, you snarktastic asshole.

2. "Biden lashed out angrily" - Oh, was it angrily?

3. "in an attempt to show McCain as contradictory" - It was just an attempt, see? And almost sounds silly, doesn't it?

4. "Biden's mood became stormy as he described the tone and honesty of attacks on Obama by the McCain campaign." - Stormy mood. Oooo, scary. And "the honesty of the attacks???" I mean, really now.

11. i agree this could be viewed as snark on the authors part-
but "Ladies and Gentlemen" is a Biden trademark, imho

sure he said it angrily- a whole lotta citizens are angry, too

and...

oh, i don't know- maybe it IS snarky... hehehe but this snark will have little effect.

13. This was a good bit:
"While the McCain campaign called Biden’s comments “absurd”, a McCain campaign aide speaking on background, when asked if Biden was accurate in saying that McCain had called the G.I. Bill ‘too generous’, said "I don't know."

It's great that journalists are finally checking this stuff back to the source and finding that Joe's giving the real deal.

15. Joe Speaks Truth to Power - and, with Humor!
I like when he was in Michigan and he said could walk all the way to Lansing and he wouldn't run into a single person who thought the economy was in good shape, unless he ran into John McCain.

I like how he said - in response to folks telling him to give 'em (the republicans) hell - he quoted Truman by saying he would just be telling them the truth and they would think it was hell.

Go, Joe, Go!
