Palin leaves open option of war with Russia (AP)
Source: Associated Press, by way of Yahoo

AP - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin left open the option Thursday of waging war with Russia if it were to invade neighboring Georgia and the former Soviet republic were a NATO ally. "We will not repeat a Cold War," Palin said in her first television interview since becoming Republican John McCain's vice presidential running mate two weeks ago.

50. Not peaceful but considering the alternative I will take a Cold War then and now.
Palin does not know wtf she is talking about. A cold war is not the worst thing in the world - certainly avoiding one is not worth it if it raises the risk of a nuke war.

39. That's what they called the
final winner in the Annual Alaska Farting Contest last year. All kidding aside use of the atom bomb is a sure fire winner to include as part of the end times scenario. Religious extremists will use anything that's convenient to build their case, like why would God allow the Atom bomb to be invented, if not to make sure the prophecies would be fulfilled? Same goes for global warming, why is it happening if not to help bring about the end times? All I can say is God help us if these perverted religious fanatics who have insinuated themselves into the Republican party, gain power in the election.

Edited on Fri Sep-12-08 02:56 AM by TheWatcher
Since you have about as much grasp of the issues as she does. Perhaps you are not as batshit insane as she is, but that remains to be seen.

Georgia is not part of NATO and even if they were, it would be beyond foolish to start a NUCLEAR WAR with RUSSIA over it.

And please don't waste our time with intellectual bombs like "it would never come to that."

That is foolish thinking also.

But, then again it would be right in line with the intelligence and grasp of issues you have shown thus far.

Poor thing, you probably think it was Russia who attacked Georgia first.

Maybe when Lucas makes the "Special Edition" of the whole thing he'll change it just for you, like he did with the whole Greedo thing.

42. Shut the fuck up and go away.
Did you not read my addendum? I thought about what I'd said and added another angle of my thought process, you dumb shit.

Obviously it would be insane to start a nuclear war with Russia over Georgia. That would be utterly absurd. Stop characterizing my position as something it's not!

You know, I really love this board, but it's assholes like you who make me really lose faith in the ability of our party to reason and not just fall to the level of the Republicans whenever they sense that someone might disagree with them on an issue.

I am a Democrat. I don't always fall in with the pacifist vein of our party.

"Did you not read my addendum? I thought about what I'd said and added another angle of my thought process, you dumb shit?"

Yes I did. And if you think starting a WAR with Russia would not have such an end, then you are every bit the ignorant half-wit you appear to be, or ever bit inept of the troll you try to be. Your pathetic attempt at backtracking doesn't wash.

"You know, I really love this board, but it's assholes like you who make me really lose faith in the ability of our party to reason and not just fall to the level of the Republicans whenever they sense that someone might disagree with them on an issue."

Glad you seem to like it here, but to be honest, you've done nothing but make a fool of yourself since you have been here. You haven't fooled anyone, and pretty much most people know what your angle is. You can stomp your feet and throw insults all you want, but nobody cares.

"I am a Democrat. I don't always fall in with the pacifist vein of our party. "

Yes, and I'm Ozzy Osbourne. Hope to see you at Ozzfest this year. :eyes:

"Get the fuck over it."

Well, I have some bad news for you. Unless you plan on coming out from behind your keyboard and making me, I just don't see that happening, so my suggestion to you is to deal with it, my petulant little bitch.

Have a Nice Day, "Mr. Liberal"

From the Gibson interview

"I answered (McCain) 'yes' because I have the confidence in that readiness and knowing that you can't blink, you have to be wired in a way of being so committed to the mission, the mission that we're on, reform of this country and victory in the war, you can't blink," she said.

"the mission"

"YOU CAN'T BLINK"

Smart munitions, cluster bombs, radiation weapons, it is enough to make you wish for a nuclear exchange and get it over with. United States and Russian conventional weapons would not be a clash of half trained third world powers.
