ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Sarah Palin delivered. An embattled vice presidential candidate, a novice on the national stage, the head of a family suffering its "ups and downs," the first-term Alaska governor rocked the GOP convention with a star-turning performance.

3. Actually, it was out the next day for Obama.
There's always a little additional polling to do after the overnight results, which might have been the source for a story you've seen.

4. Wow, such an opportunity to prove oneself as insightful and a leader
Instead.........

Vacuous, sniping, empty of ideas, and miscontruction of the truth throughout.

What's that old saying, 'Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool, than to open it and remove all doubt'!

Sad really that such an opportunity was wasted for the FIRST WOMAN PICKED AS A REPUBLICAN VICE PRESIDENTIAL choice..
who makes Dan Quayle look good.

6. Wow
That is almost as big as Obama. Personally, she just got me hungry, going on about all this Alaska fishing and how much she loves killing moose. But she has yet to give us any recipes for these famous moose burgers. The only ones I can find are these:

Seriously, this woman is making me hungry.

10. Well I was one of the
Dems wanting to open their minds up with a perspective of the other side
And I thought her speech was boring, she just doesn't "pop" on stage like other speakers. I did crack up when her daughter Piper (I think is her name) licked her hand and fixed Trig's hair. In fact that was the highlight of the speech for me :P
otherwise is was :boring:

12. Stupid!
40 million people tuned in for Obama's speech because they knew what he was going to try to do and they genuinely wanted to see if he could do it. And he did.

38 million people tuned in for Palin's speech because they didn't know anything about her, couldn't imagine what she'd have to talk about, and genuinely wanted to see if she would even show up.

Raw numbers don't tell the tale: a pound of shit and a pound of gold weigh exactly the same.

16. Didn't watch it...
Couldn't stand to listen to it, either...

Corporate media hype: "it was a knockout punch"... "a grand slam of a speech"...

yeah, right... saying it ad nauseum doesn't make it so.

It's all just a bunch of corporate spin on every channel...

They can put Lipstick on Palin (or Cheney) and and it's still a "republican" -

With lots of Bells and Whistles and a big scoop of BUSHIT.

17. She named her dog AGIA for a reason.
Her meteoric political rise began pushing through major legislation for the American Petroleum Institute, the lobby group for the major oil companies.

I actually saw the Democratic Convention, not just Obama's speech on C-Span. I kept up with her speaking prowess via DU. That was more than enough for me.
