Charlotte man accused of threatening Obama

Charlotte, N.C. — A Charlotte man will undergo a psychiatric evaluation after being accused of threatening to kill Barack Obama with a gun, federal documents said.

Jerry M. Blanchard, 48, was being held Friday in the Mecklenburg County Jail on the charge of threatening to kill, kidnap or injure a major candidate for president on July 15 and July 28, according to a criminal complaint filed Aug. 1 by a U.S. Secret Service agent.

The affidavit attached to the complaint by Agent Sean Leddy and unsealed this week said that witnesses told federal authorities they overheard the 48-year-old Blanchard threatening to assassinate the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee on two occasions in July.

One witness said he was eating breakfast at a Waffle House in Charlotte with a friend when Blanchard approached and started talking about Obama.

after all, there's been two of these 'lone nuts' against Obama in as many weeks.

Obama appears to have been aware of this precarious situation since the early days of the presidential campaign.

Given the large number of US political assassinations and attempted assassinations since Nov. '63, it should take something more elaborate and complex than random nuts stalking Obama with their guns. There were planned hits against JFK in Florida (Miami, Tampa) and also in Chicago before he was finally gunned down in Dallas. And it's obvious that these plots were far more elaborate and complex that what the official story would have us believe.

My point is that I don't think it's a mere coincidence that left-wing/progressive politicians in the US have a much lower survival rates against these nuts (or patsies) who are shooting at the politicians (right or left). Or these progressive tend to experience sudden death from unusual accidents (plane crashes, primarily) at a much higher rate than the right wing.

I think this is suggestive that there's been a long term plan by the rightwing power-brokers in the USA to forcefully steer our political state toward a more-amenable fascist system in which they will be the primary benefactors, not the general population. And they surely must know they can't keep their monopolies and priveledged status quos in place when the left comes into power.
