A suspect has been captured along the border of northern Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula, after a deadly shooting yesterday in Wisconsin.

The middle-aged man allegedly shot and killed three teenagers who were swimming in the Menominee River yesterday, also wounding a fourth young person.

More than 100 police officers were involved in the overnight search.

Prior to his capture, the alleged gunman had been last seen in Niagra, a small Wisconsin town that borders the Michigan Upper Peninsula. . .

Let's hope they got the guy. A 17 year old girl and two guys 18 and 19 were killed in cold blood. Unbelievable. I know the shootings were posted here, but I wanted to note that a suspect is now in custody.

1. Not again!
This is 60 miles up the road from Crandon, Wis., where a young cop massacred a bunch of high school kids earlier this year. I used to live in Iron Mountain Mich./Niagara Wisc. It's a struggling community. Lots of people trying to live on minimum wage or less. The mill that was the lifeblood of Niagara recently announced it is closing. Life is tough in the north woods.

4. There is a lot of rural poverty up that way
Not that that excuses mass murder, but it is a very rural area, there are not many jobs, and everyone has guns because there are bears and wolves around.

Where there is no money, however, there are not enough cops or mental health services to deal with the truly dangerous people up there.

8. Things have been made worse recently...
The paper mill in Niagra was recently shut down, and lots of jobs were lost.

11. That in itself is a good enough reason to tighten up regulation.
