A complaint filed against U.S. Rep. Lane Evans
Edited on Sun Feb-01-04 10:46 AM by LincolnMcGrath
The FEC received a complaint from the Rock Island County Republican Party regarding the Victory Fund.

The complaint was filed Friday in federal court in Rock Island. It covers fund-raising efforts during the 1998 and 2000 campaigns; Evans, D-Rock Island, defeated Republican Mark Baker in both campaigns.

Steve Vetzner, a spokesman for Evans, said the FEC complaint "is baseless and will be fought vigorously. It is being brought at the behest of the Rock Island County Republican Party which wants to do in court what it can't do at the ballot box."

Have I said yet this morning how much I loathe these people? They have tried to call Lane gay, medically disabled, and have used every other dirty trick. Mark Baker was a fRight wing new anchor. Now they have another News Anchor to try and run against him.

3. Can't rethugs ever take defeat humbly?
This new fad of theirs to recall who they lost against is starting to get really freaking annoying.
I can only imagine what might happen WHEN * loses in November!

5. Well, honestly I think the bottom line is....
a sound defeat. Everything else will fall into place.
When the Dems get back into power, and jobs start returning slowly, peoples confidence starts growing. Thuggery with other countries will be replace by diplomacy as much as humanly possible.

6. Heard Zinga
on the radio last week. She said the people of this district should vote for her because Lane Evans can no longer do his job because of his health and he really "needed" to retire and rest.

Wanted to scream!
