(California) cancer treatments cut

Money covering prostrate cancer treatments for low income men has been slashed from the state budget. How many will die before Arnold raises taxes on the wealthy to help ease the budget crunch? Even Pete Wilson raised taxes the last time California faced budgetary problems.

when asked about the crunch on county budgets was "It's going to be a tough two years" and he implied if we don't approve bond in March, "disaster".

Where are the freaking VLF funds, Arnold...they all went to local government.

I saved $128 on my registration with the VLF offset (that's $10 a month...). Would rather have paid that and supported local services.

Wait we don't have that anymore. Maybe he is applying pressure to get people to vote for his $15 Billion bond measure by showing us the reduction of quality of life. Maybe he is trying to get people to back the taxation of the Indian gaming casinos, who have been shown to have a 14% reduction in psychiatric illness with tribal casino MONEY. Money that they were not getting from anywhere else. Could it be that the NV casino people that supported his campaign have any influence on this? Good thing he ran his campaign on the idea that he was not going to be taken by the special interest, he had a personal wealth that would keep him above this.
