An explosion hit an Iraqi security patrol in the restive town of Baquba, north of Baghdad, early Thursday and witnesses said they feared many casualties.

Sometimes it seems like they are more of a target than the Americans.

6. Yep! War is hell! This does not endear Iraqi`s to Bu$h Co. And that is

the purpose. The scared citizens will always follow the ruthless leaders when made to think that way. Bu$h let 9-11 happen to us and we freaked out and started 2 war crimes. In which neither one has ended yet or will end in the near future. The 2nd war crime was based on nothing but lies. And people like myself have been saying that for longer than we have been at this war crime.

3. to discourage and punish collaboration with the invaders

I would not say that they are more of a target, however they do seem to be more vulnerable to these attacks (the mercenaries and lackeys are not allowed to hide behind tanks and APCs like their foreign bosses do). Personally, I think they're spending too much effort attacking these collaborators and would make more of an impression directly attacking the occupation forces.
