GOP may not help Majette in re-election bid
No crossover aid in rematch?

U.S. Rep. Denise Majette (D-Ga.), the challenger who ousted U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney in 2002, might not be able to count on crossover Republicans to help her win re-election this year.

Mark Davis, the creator of www.goodbyecynthia.com, the grass-roots Internet drive that called on 4th District Republican voters to cross over into the Democratic primary and vote against the controversial McKinney, says he won't repeat the effort this year. McKinney says she is considering a rematch, and her father, former state Rep. Billy McKinney, has said she definitely will run.

Not only that, but Davis, who is working for GOP U.S. Senate candidate Johnny Isakson, said he will actively discourage Republican voters from crossing over in the July primary so that his candidate will prevail over leading opponents Mac Collins and Herman Cain.

Davis' theory is that Isakson is the most moderate of the three GOP candidates and therefore will need the votes of DeKalb County Republican voters, who tend to be moderates themselves.

But if DeKalb Republicans remain in their own primary, Majette could suffer.

6. Her voting record is much, much better.
I support Cynthia and hope she gets back to congress, but I do think that Majette is much better than Miller.

3. I now live in Dekalb County, and I get a chance this time
and any friend of Zells is no friend of mine. Besides, she actually spoke truth to power, something that was unheard of during the months after 9-11.

5. Of course they would not.. It's a no-brainer..
Denies was just a "place-holder".. They had a limited amount of time during the 9-11 shitstorm around Cynthia.. They had to move fast, and by getting a "dem", they looked "bi-partisan".. That election was not about anything other than getting rid of Cynthia.. It's a lot harder to run for office, once you have been defeated...they knew that..

Denise could not have been elected without repube's help.. They withhold help now, and the seat is more or less an"open seat" for them, because most dems will not support her re-election..

Nothing happens "by accident" with these folks..

Actually, the same might happen wth Ahhhnold (although I don't see him serving more than this term anyway).. I think he's a place holder as well.. Ahhhnold can have the "former governor" of Kelli-fornyuh on his resume' and that may be all he wants.. His movie career is more lucrative, and he's getting a bit old now..if he wants to make more of them, he cannot wait too long.. He will probably jump back in later..

The repubes still want a "true believer" as governor, so they are looking ...
