Even they can't sugarcoat/hide it anymore. While pretty much every other poll has had him in the 20s at some point (or currently does), Fox News somehow never managed to go below 30% before. I just thought it was interesting.

1. Oh I'm sure they're still sugarcoating
Just think - if Faux has him at 29%...what's he actually at?

2. Revisionist history begins now.

They will soon completely throw Bush under the bus, even worse than Keith does.

This way, they can support McCain and say he's the maverick, and is so different than Bush. While the rest of the media is too polite to say what should be said about Bush, these guys will have no problem savaging him. But for all the wrong things. They have to highlight the places where Bush is different than McCain but somehow (impossibly) similar to Obama.

And thus the cycle will continue.

4. He's really at 19%
While Gallup does its polling at exclusive private country clubs, FoxNews conducts surveys at Klan rallies.

5. Dallas local FOX station
The local Dallas-Fort Worth FOX station discussed this poll earlier today. They phrased it something like:

"While President Bush has a 29% approval rating, he is doing better than the Democrat-controlled Congress which has even less support..."

I know, I shouldn't have been watching them in the first place. :)

6. So typical
Yeah, I hear that crap all the time. Here's the sad (for the GOP) truth, though...

Fox currently has Congress overall at 19% approval.

And, admittedly, the latest poll has both Dems and the GOP at 21%.
(Dems = http://www.pollingreport.com/cong_dem.htm)
(GOP = http://www.pollingreport.com/cong_rep.htm)

But... in the polls that really matter, Americans say that they prefer Dems over Repukes in the elections this fall by margins of 53-38 in the House and 52-33 in the Senate.

Fox can blab all it wants about the "Democrat" Party controlled Congress. This fall will still be another GOP bloodbath.

7. That's an old story
People disapprove of Congress BUT ask them about their own reps and the re-election of incumbents tells a whole different story.

11. Congress always has low approval ratings.

The only time you hear about it is when trolls try to bolster the image of their idiot President.

10. Fox always puts him 3 to 5 pts above where he really is ..
I've watched this too. Fox is always nice to him.. As long as I can recall following this. For the last 4 to 5 years, Fox has always given Bush 4 to five extra points. This is really something unusual for Fox to line up with the others.

13. Wasn't it lower than that?
I remember it as low as 23% not too long ago.
