EL PASO, Texas - Officials reopened Interstate 10 in New Mexico around 8:30 Wednesday evening after strong winds and blowing dust closed it down for several hours.

The closure begins at the Airport Exit in Las Cruces and continued all the way Bensen, Arizona which is about 43 miles east of Tucson. High profile vehicles were diverted to the Pan Am parking area on Las Cruces' east side. Peak wind gusts at Las Cruces International Airport reached 53 mph before 2 p.m.

New Mexico Highway 11 between Columbus and Deming, US-180 from the NM 26 Junction to Hurley, NM, and US 180 between Deming and Silver City were also closed, but according to the New Mexico DOT's webpage, all are now back open.

2. Benson, Arizona
The warm wind through your hair
My body flies the galaxies
My heart longs to be there

Benson, Arizona
The same stars fill the sky
But they were so much kinder
When we watched them, you and I

------------

I had no idea there really was a Benson, Arizona.

6. not when the wind is like it has been this spring.
You could hardly see the moon last night!

Also if you go east about 15 - 20 miles the view is even better. ;)

7. Drove through there a couple of years back.
Knew it had to be bad there sometimes because of all the "blowing dust" and warnings about high winds.
