Clinton Files Debt Disclosure
Source: CQPOLITICS

Hillary Rodham Clinton amended her disclosure reports over the weekend to account for $5 million she loaned her presidential campaign in January. Though it was widely known the New York senator used the funds to help rally support for her White House bid during the early primaries, an accounting oversight left the information missing from reports filed at the Federal Election Commission.

The new disclosure brings her total debt to $15.3 million through March, compared to $662,784 for her Democratic opponent Illinois Sen. Barack Obama. While both have debt, they both also have a considerable amount of cash on hand, Obama with $51 million to Clinton's nearly $32 million.

5. She has told a lot of lies & "stories, but you can't blame this one on her!
I was an accountant for 40 years, and had to issue ammended financials a few times because I found mistakes later. Most of the time it was because somebody or a group of somebodys were pushing hard to "Get them issued NOW!" Mistakes happen when you're in a rush! PLUS, I guarantee you, Hillary did NOT put those filings together herself!

because there was some Hill bot here that said the original story from the Boston Globe was a lie,
again who always seems to be doing the lying, Hill and her supporters?

6. The interesting question
Is how a woman who hasn't held private employment for decades comes up with $5 million dollars to lend to her own campaign.

It's amazing how so many politicians, on modest government salaries, suddenly become multi-millionaires after taking office.

I can't be the only one who finds this more than a bit unseemly, that "public service" has become a road to riches more effective than hard work and doing good for one's fellow man.

17. Her book had an advance of $8,000,000 - and she likely made
more than that. (I am an Obama supporter - but thus is wrong. She also worked in the private sector for Rose Law firm - she made more money than Bill Clinton then. She was no Laura Bush.

Let me see, you've never heard of her best-selling autobiography? She was paid an advance of around eight million dollars on that one. That's just the advance. It was a best seller around the world, also. Lots of sales in Europe and money in Hill's pocket. I'm guessing you're very young or you would know where her money comes from. Or, you are just into spreading disinformation.

Why don't you try another path to idiocy? Former Presidents and First Ladies made a lot of money, usually, after they leave the White House. A lot of people want to hear them speak, and there are a lot of perks that come with being a former President and FL of this country. The perks make up, somewhat, for the lousy salary while in office.

In addition, of course, U. S. Senators are paid pretty well, and this has been her job for the past seven years or so.

9. "total debt to $15.3 million through March" and this woman wants to run the country?
...she can't even run her campaign with fiscal discipline...

ALSO that $32 million does not reflect funds that are separated for ONLY the GE...She has SIGNIFICANTLY less than that to use in the next 7 days...

10. If she has 32 million and owes 15 million why doesn't she pay her debts?
That would leave her just less than 15 million while Obama has just over 50 million. The press can make this look like the financials are close...that they both have debt. This woman will run her debts up until the dying days of her campaign and then walk away from them. Looks like she will make a great prez.

12. The question is; Whom does she owe the money?
I'm picturing privately owned print shops who really need the money getting screwed. Whoever it is is waiting to get paid. They are floating the millionaire's campaign.

22. In what alternate universe can somebody willy nilly run into dramatic debt and...nothing
Why are there no bill collectors calling for money? Why has the media ignored innumerous reports of unpaid bills for rental space or signs or bagels n such? I could take all the money out of my account and max out my credit card at the atm and then have lots of cash on hand, but I still have huge debts.

24. The person who rented her space for her NH office all but had to pull an act of congress to
get paid. When he finally got the check, he donated the whole thing to the Obama campaign. LOL!

Horror stories came out from event organizers in Ohio.

Debi can tell you that there are a LOT of mom&pop shops, schools and civil servants who STILL haven't been paid in Iowa.

How can you trust somebody to lead the country if they can't even pay their bills on time (or at all)?

Sorry -- I don't have them bookmarked.

They show outstanding debt.

He is at $600k and she at $15 million.

Assuming that they pay a net 20 or so on their invoices, it is a timing thing.

Lots of reports about HRC stiffing people for months on end. None about his camp that I have seen.

It is a HEFTY reason to be concerned about putting her in charge of this country's fiscal policies when she can't even manage her own campaign finances. And now with the news that she "misreported" to the federal government -- that just makes it all the worse. That is FRAUD.
