"The Iraqi people will not tolerate any delay in the transfer of sovereignty and authority to an Iraqi government," Pachachi told a session at the World Economic Forum (news - web sites) on Iraq's future after the ouster of Saddam Hussein (news - web sites).

US plans to choose an interim government through caucuses have run into strong opposition from the religious leader of Iraq's Shiite majority, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani, who has insisted on direct elections.

Asked about reports the US-led coalition could hand power to the 25-member Governing Council if no compromise is found, Pachachi said the November 2003 accord on restoring Iraqi sovereignty did not require an elected government.

"I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to expand the present Governing Council to bring in all the other political parties, forces and groups that had been excluded in the first place," he told AFP.

.... LOL .... These people are delusional. Get a CLUE Pachachi... The Iraqis do not TRUST the American Puppets. You are part of the PROBLEM not a solution....
