Bush* Dines With Baseball Execs
PHOENIX -- A day after making a surprise anti-steroids appeal, President Bush organized a casual dinner out at a Mexican restaurant with several baseball executives.

(snip)

But he chose to end his day at the Teepee Mexican restaurant, located in a Phoenix neighborhood replete with strip malls and car dealerships. Bush dined with Arizona Diamondbacks owner Jerry Colangelo, manager Bob Brenly, general manager Joe Garagiola Jr., and Anaheim Angels owner Arte Moreno.

Bush, himself a former managing partner of the Texas Rangers, showed up for the brief, early dinner without the suit and tie he had worn all day and in a casual open-collared blue shirt. From his table, he chatted with the restaurant owner and a few patrons, and could be heard telling a gaggle of onlookers: "Go buy some nachos."

Doesn't sound very "presidential" to me.

5. i think it's charming. and i just looooove his little nicknames, like
"the big 'O'" for O'Neil, and "pootie-poot" for Putin. he's such a card! how can you help but love the great big lug? and he's singlehandedly tackled one of the greatest problems of the new century... baseball steroids! putting aside such distasteful problems as the three million jobs lost on his watch, the millions and millions of added poverty-stricken families, bush has captured the hearts and minds of America like no other unelected president, ever.

6. I remember in the 2000 campaign.........
a few pundits reporting that the real reason Bush wanted to be President was so he could one day be Commissioner of Baseball. That's been his one true goal in life.
