British Lawmaker Questions Bush Statement on Iraq's 'WMD-Related Program A
(Listened to this on NPR BBC News earlier today. There was uproarious laughter throughout Parliament when Charles Kennedy brought this up, so have inserted where the laughter occured.)

President Bush's reference to Iraq's "weapons of mass destruction-related program activities" has sparked controversy in Britain's parliament.

<snip>
The president's remarks came under scrutiny in the British Parliament, where one opposition leader, Charles Kennedy, raised the matter with Prime Minister Tony Blair during "Question Time."

"When last night in his State of the Union address, President Bush referred to the search for weapons of mass destruction-related program activities, (Laughter) can the prime minister confirm that that is what the Iraq Survey Group is now searching for, and in the process, can he explain to us all what exactly does that mean?" he asked. (Laughter)

soldiers, their loved ones and thousands of dead Iraqis have been HAD by a lying, greedy, sick bunch of bastards.

Instead of laughing about, throw the bum out and then come help us do the same.

Then get our troops home the hell out of there!!!!

2. Totally agree, ignatus
Easy to laugh at the Idiot Boy's statements. Both English and American troops dead. And, while they have to put up with Tiny Tony the dancing Poodle, we have to live under the f***ed up Chimp administration.

3. It seems so obvious to us on this board that this
war was based on a packet of lies and yet many Americans(last poll I saw) said 52% think Bush is doing a good job in Iraq?

How on earth can anyone think that, let alone 52%? Do Americans take pride in being ignorant of current events? Are they willing to give up their responsibilites as citizens in order not to be forced to think and therefore see the miserable truth in all its ugliness?

I cannot understand this type of mentality and that saddens me deeply because if I can't understand something, I have no way to rationally fix the problem.

However, knowing that his numbers were in the 70's not that long ago,I am going to keep the faith that more Americans are finding the way to the light.,,,the light of truth.

5. Ignatius, I feel your pain too.
I've come to the conclusion that people want to be ignorant. They don't want to know what's "really" going on unless its right up front in their faces. I don't know if its just the people I know but it seems that none of them see anything past Faux or CNN.

As far as 52%, I'm beginning to think the percentage is much higher than that. I can only think of one person who actually keeps up with whats going on and is sharp enough to read between the lines. Everybody else thinks I wear a tin foil hat.

:crazy:
