2. That sucks. His work is considered great for sampling in the HipHOP and Electronic music community.

Such a bad way to go.

May he find peace.

6. Poisoned by chemicals, lawnmower ripping flesh etc. Seems odd but yes, even gardening can kill you.
I suppose there's worse places to die.

RIP

7. At least he didn't spontaneously combust
Apparently, it happens to dozens of people every year.

It's just not widely reported.

I sure wish I'd had the internets back then, I might have gotten an A instead of a B. :)

5. That's really awful...
...I really disliked ABBA's music when it was out, but, like a lot of people, I love it now for its camp value and catchiness...if nothing else, that sound was very, very distinctive.

RIP

19. good music survives and continues to be performed
"bad" music winds up buried in the back of the garage...

Abba's music is still played, because they were unique: cheery music often set against some fairly gloomy lyrics. It still speaks to me; I have the Abba Gold CD.

RIP

8. Spain is DANGEROUS for rockers! The Dave Clark 5's lead singer just died, as a result
of having been injured in Spain!

"Mike Smith, the lead singer of The Dave Clark Five, died Thursday outside London, less than two weeks before the band is to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He was 64.

The cause was pneumonia, a complication of a spinal cord injury he sustained in 2003 that had left him paralyzed below the ribs, according to Margo Lewis, his agent in New York."

"In 2006, he told the British newspaper The Daily Mail that he had injured his spinal cord when he fell while climbing over a locked seven-foot-high garden gate behind his home in the Costa del Sol region of Spain."

20. Wow - My daughter was
playing Abba CDs all day yesterday while painting the bedroom. I even asked her 'why is it you've never seen Momma Mia - you're such a Abba fan? She shrugged & said 'I haven't seen Wicked either - go figure.' She was the one that got her friends to read Wicked.

I'm kidding, chills.

This sucks though... Let this be a lesson to us all - don't plant magic beans in your garden and you won't be eaten by giants.
