A United States Army Ranger from Georgia was involved in the raid that killed Uday and Qusay Hussein, according to his wife.
Jennifer Bonnell said she was very proud of her husband, Brad Bonnell, and more importantly, glad that he was safe and well.
“When they were asked to do it, they just went ahead and did it and didn’t even think about it,” she said about the raid her husband and his unit were involved in.
“When they went to the door and asked for back-up, he said it was pretty intense,” she said. “It was about six hours and they didn’t have any water, which was really hard because it was so hot.”
Brad Bonnell was an instructor at the Ranger school in Dahlonega, Ga. and as a sharp-shooter, he has been in Somalia and Panama.
“I told him today, I said, ‘I don’t think you realize how big this is…You just changed the course of history,’” Jennifer Bonnell said.
