Chelsea discusses environment, FEMA

Chelsea Clinton is hoping to do for her mother’s campaign what one teary-eyed moment did for her mother in New Hampshire or as Chelsea calls it “the now infamous moment in the café.”

After the brief display of emotion, Hillary Clinton won the caucus and some pundits attributed it in part to the small emotional outburst.
“I see moments like that all the time with my mom so I was really surprised it was treated to so much coverage,” Chelsea said. “My mom has always consciously exuded that strength. She finds it difficult to talk about that because she doesn’t see it (campaign goals) as about her.”

Chelsea said she understands that voters look to moments of emotion like that as a means of understanding the person. Chelsea said she traveled to Reno to help convey her mother's human side.

Chelsea met with 20 people associated with the Reno Bike Project located in the Bike Reno office at 250 Bell St. on Wednesday afternoon before a planned appearance with her mother.
