Dean Praises House For Blocking FCC Ruling
DEAN PRAISES HOUSE FOR BLOCKING FCC RULING
Wednesday July 23, 2003
By: Press Office

(July 23, 2003)

MANCHESTER, NH - Governor Howard Dean, M.D. praised the U.S. House of Representatives for voting to block the F.C.C's recent decision to relax media ownership rules.

Dean said, A huge bipartisan majority sided with the interests of the American people today, in spite of opposition from Republican leadership and the threat of a veto by President Bush. They did the right thing. The F.C.C. decision would have put more and more media in the hands of fewer and fewer companies, and that isnt good for anybody but the large media corporations.

Now, President Bush has a choice. He can choose to reward his campaign contributors by vetoing this bill, or he can do his job and protect the best interests of ordinary people by signing it.

2. I just love how he has a comment up right after something happens
All the candidates should be doing that, imo. It would be better overall for the whole party.

3. Whooohooo DEAN!!!....You did it again!!!..Timing is always PERFECT!!!
Hey Dean?......

You are the only one that has taken the initiative to
praise a group of people that have finally come to their senses
and united to resolve an issue!!!

Where was Bush on this???

Where were the rest of the Democratic Presidential Candidates???

I applaud you, and most of all, I too applaud the HOUSE of Representatives for doing something for our "DEMOCRACY" in 2.5 years!!

I am shocked quite frankly!!!!

9. This Could be Bush's FIRST Veto

believe it or not. And it would stand out all the more for that reason.

And if he doesn't veto it, that stands out too.
