(Kenyan opposition leader Raila) Odinga says Obama is his cousin
Source: BBC

Kenyan opposition leader Raila Odinga has said he is a cousin of US presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

Mr Odinga told the BBC's The World Today that Senator Obama's father was his maternal uncle.

Mr Obama's father - a Kenyan also called Barack - met and married his American mother when they were students at the university of Hawaii.

...

He said Mr Obama had on Monday taken time out of campaigning for the New Hampshire primary to call him twice, to express his concern, and to say that he would also be calling Mr Kibaki.

5. well, some people make a big deal about Bush and Cheney
being related to - as if 5th or 11th or whatever cousins is being related - the queen of England, overlooking the fact that just about everybody whose ancestors hail from that small island is related to that extent.

6. I have to admit that would be quite an event..
for an African-American President to go to Africa like JFK went to Ireland. I'd dearly love to see it in my lifetime.

7. Well, it sounds believable to me.
Barack's book talks about his Kenyan father.

Odinga is saying his uncle on his mother's side is that Obama Kenyan father.

Sounds like it could be true since this is not the first newspaper report of Obama calling Odinga.
