And boy are people going to be voting with their pocket books, once they find out how little the dollars they've been saving are worth.

2. Many of us on this forum predicted months ago that the economy will be the #1 issue in 2008.
There is scant little more important that a roof over your families heads and food on the table.

Increasingly, that is becoming a real concern for many and will be a huge worry by 11/08.

3. It's GLOBAL WARMING STUPID! Er....not even on CNN's poll. Surprise surprise.
They didin't even ask the Repuke candidates about it either.

Not even an "Environment" choice, which is really too broad. People need to start being asked if global warming is their main concern, or these polls are innaccurate.

4. I Doubt
that those who are jobless living under bridges care about global warming right now.

7. Just imagine if they were able
to have "phoned some pay phones for this poll." Get the opinion of the homeless/poor of what their main concern is.

5. Gee I was hoping it would be health care....
Actually, if the economy is the primary issue in the general, that favors us.

It would be easy to blame the party in power for a bad economy.

That being said, it doesn't seem to be an issue that has gotten a lot of play in the primaries so far.

We see Edwards talking about two Americas. And he is the one candidate who has made helping the poor a priority. Other than that, not so much.

I think ANY Dem is gonna do better on the economy as an issue.

Of course, the Reps will be arming their quivvers trying to swift boat our nominee so we won't be talking about the economy.

I know!!!!! Let's nominate the candidate who would be easiest to swiftboat. Let's say the more criticism in the past the merrier. Let's nominate someone that half of the people would not even dream of voting for. Let's nominate a divisive candidate so we won't be able to let the economy be an issue that will help us. Then when things get ugly we can call the other side "haters" and whine and whine until we lose....and have to face President Huckabee....
