Report: 1 killed in Paris parcel bomb explosion

PARIS - One person was killed when a booby-trapped package exploded on Thursday in a central Parisian building where French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s old law firm is located, a witness told French radio.

Police had said earlier six people were hurt in the explosion, with a lawyer and his secretary seriously injured.

The explosion took place in a building on Boulevard des Malesherbes in the west of the French capital.
