USA TodayHere's a little ugly travel news to mull during this busy season: the largest de-icing contractor at Denver International Airport has been feeding the answers to tests to its employees, allowing them to pass easily even if they don't understand the complexities of their jobs, according to a Denver television station report.
Denver television station KCNC aired the report yesterday. It included hidden camera video purportedly showing an instructor handing out answer sheets to tests for local employees of Servisair, a major aviation ground services company. According to the company's website, it provides ground services at more than 140 locations worldwide. KCNC reports the company serves 11 U.S. airports.
"There's no excuse for just giving the answers," Servisair vice president Dino Noto told the station. "The training here was clearly improper, clearly improper. That's not acceptable. We don't want to create a paper trail, we want them to be fully trained."

Wonderful! That's one helluva important job if it's snowing/freezing rain at airport. A number of crashes have occurred when airplanes have been improperly de-iced.
