1. Is she the religiously insane one?
I know, I know...there's so many of them...but she was the one where folks took demotions rather than work with her right?

3. exactly
she was also the one who used the unfortunate words "black", "fat" and "lazy" in reference to another colleague ... and couldn't figure out why it was considered offensive!

24. Great News for Minnesota
Not so good overall! If you think about it they removed her from the U.S. Attorney position and have reassigned her to D.C., now if someone was getting canned, they wouldn't be getting a new assignment.

This is about as bad as the former commander of Walter Reed getting a new assignment as the commander of Ft. Detrick.

So, while Minnesotans can possibly sleep easier, it won't be for very long, because all of us will now have to worry.

6. This is great news for Minnesota and of course bad news for the DoJ
The lady will still be around spreading her bigotry and Jesus freakdom in DC where most the other DoJ bigots and freaks reside.

8. Paulose to Resign, Accepts Position in DC
Source: WCCO, Associated Press

Rachel Paulose, the embattled U.S. attorney for Minnesota, will be leaving the post to take a position at the Justice Department in Washington, according to a Bush administration official and a congressional aide.

According to a news release sent by the department of justice, Paulose has accepted a position as Counselor to the Assistant Attorney General for Legal Policy at the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. Ms. Paulose will resign from her current position and assume her new role effective in early January 2008.

In the release Paulose said, "I have been honored by the opportunity to serve our Nation as United States Attorney for the District of Minnesota and to work with this Office, our tremendous law enforcement partners, and the people of Minnesota."

<snip>

In September, a Minnesota blogger reported that Paulose was being investigated by the U.S. Office of Special Counsel for allegedly mishandling classified information and threatening to replace the employee who told her about it.

She also allegedly retaliated against some staffers and made racist remarks about one worker.

Darn. The rented choir, the coronation/swearing-in ceremony, the mass resignations of senior staff, youngest Attorney General, the friendship with Monica Goodling... all for nuthin'! ;-)

10. The people of Minnesota didn't want her
in the first place she was thrust on them. The conterversary was there from the beginning when the attorneys in the office resigned, remember? It is a shame that we can't have a say in who represents us...Minnesota is a fair and open state. The republicans are trying to take it over. Look at the latest governor race. The DFL candidate was leading til the last minute when the republicans flooded the race with dirty tricks and money. They needed Minnesota because of the convention being held here next year. And Phew-lenty says Minnesota is cash poor, yet he wants the state to cough up 2M or more for the convention. SHAME PHEW-LENTY.

15. Embattled attorney to leave Minnesota post
Source: AP

Rachel Paulose, the embattled U.S. attorney for Minnesota, will be leaving the post to take a position at the Justice Department in Washington, according to a Bush administration official and congressional aide.

Both officials spoke Monday on the condition that they not be named, so as not to pre-empt the official Justice Department announcement. The Justice Department's press office did not immediately return phone messages seeking comment.

In April, three top supervisors stepped down from their management roles in Paulose's office and went back to prosecuting cases, prompting a visit from a high-ranking Justice official. That came just as Congress was investigating allegations that eight former U.S. attorneys were fired and replaced by loyalists.
