Contractor convicted of bribing Cunningham
From the Associated Press
12:26 PM PST, November 5, 2007
SAN DIEGO -- A defense contractor was found guilty today on all counts of bribing former San Diego Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham in what has been the only trial to emerge from the nation's biggest Congressional corruption scandal.

Brent Wilkes was convicted of 13 counts of conspiracy, bribery, money laundering and wire fraud. He faces up to 20 years in prison.

Wilkes, 53, had steadfastly maintained his innocence since being charged in February.

In three weeks of trial, prosecutors called former Cunningham staffers, a waiter and even two prostitutes to support accusations that Wilkes gave the congressman more than $700,000 in cash payments, meals, trips and other gifts. In return, he got help winning nearly $90 million in Pentagon contracts, mainly for scanning paper documents, according to prosecutors.

10. Yes, and a weak plausible no.

John Doolittle started spreading the cover up story for the firing of US Atty Carol Lam by saying at his public appearances the #1 problem facing this country was illegal immigration, which we now know is code for white supremest appeal to the Republican base, and supposedly was the reason that Carol Lam was fired, because of her supposedly not prosecuting those types of cases, which we now know is a crock. Carol Lam indicted Brent Wilkes (and Dusty Foggo, CIA) on her last day in office.

Dolittle and his wife, Julie. are both involved in the cover up

16. Dusty Foggo, they were about to get into the DC prostitues
Suddenly Porter Goss resigns.....Dolittle, Louis etal let's not forget Duncan Hunter all on the take. Lam gets bounced Geragos tries to have the charges against Wilkes dismissed fails. Now that he has been convicted perhaps he will start blabbing to reduce his sentence.
