Police Say Principal Dressed Like Woman (Kentucky)
Source: WMUR (probably AP)

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Police have cited a Bardstown high school principal with loitering for the purpose of prostitution.

Police said Dr. Paul Schum, 50, the principal at Bethlehem High School in Bardstown, was dressed like a woman when found.

Schum has requested a personal leave from his job, WLKY in Louisville reported.

Louisville Metro police said they spotted Schum in an alley.

He's due in court at the end of November.

Schum teaches chemistry at Bethlehem and worked for 26 years at Saint Xavier High School.

Hmmm... Kentucky, and 26 years at Saint Xavier's no less - sounds like a religious school to me.

Fundies, fundies, fundies.... (sigh)

3. It's sad, IMO. I wonder if he has a wife and kids.
If he does, you can bet they're not laughing either.

4. I think this is just sad. They busted him because he was sitting
in his car, dressed in drag, in a seedy neighborhood. This may not be the way most of us get our thrills, but he hadn't actually committed a crime from the sound of this report.

-----------

The principal at a Kentucky Catholic school is taking personal leave from his job after police in Louisville allegedly found him dressed as a woman and wearing bondage gear inside his car in a seedy part of town.

Paul A. Schum, 50, was cited for loitering for the purpose of prostitution late Tuesday by Louisville Metro police. Officers allege that they came across the educator inside his parked car when patrolling the neighborhood known for prostitution and narcotics.

-----------

It doesn't say that he had anything illegal in his car or on his person, nor does it say that the cops had actually seen him soliciting sex or drugs. Maybe his behavior was outside the norm, but did he really violate the law?

5. In some states, posession of bondage gear is a crime. They call it a "rape kit." n/t

7. I didn't know that. However, it does not mention in this article
that he was in possession of anything illegal. I'm sure that if they could have filed charges such as that against him that they would have. Again, I think this is just sad. They have effectively ruined his career because he dressed up in an outfit that they found objectionable.

6. Sounds like a Halloween Party to me -
Maybe he was into the wild side, but being dressed outlandishly on October 30? Normal behavior where I come from...
