Iraq to close Kurdish rebel offices - PM Maliki

BAGHDAD, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Iraq will close the offices of Kurdish rebel group the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and stop them from operating in Iraq, Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki said on Tuesday.

"The PKK is a terrorist organisation and we have taken a decision to shut down their offices and not allow them to operate on Iraqi soil. We will also work on limiting its terrorist activities which are threatening Iraq and Turkey," a statement from Maliki's office said.
